George Carlin was the greatest truth teller – and greatest libertarian – in comedy. Herein, George likens voting to masturbation, but without the marginally useful liquid byproduct:
I remember P Diddy a few years ago started up that absurd mockery-of-itself “campaign” to get young hip people to “vote or die”. He should die.
Rock The Vote started 22 years ago to do the same – lure skeptical youngsters into the psychic web of lies upon which modern political systems are built. Bless the lord that they are still failing miserably at their mission.
It really is amazing how voting propogandists and their zombified foot-soldiers – the average, everyday conscientious voting American – can twist plain logic in reverse to argue in favor of voting as a worthwhile activity:
- “Every Vote Counts” – Huh? Really? You mean, when my mom’s liberal vote used to cancel out my dad’s conservative vote when we were growing up – both of those counted for something? Puhleez. Everyone knows that a vote is as effectual as a piss into a hurricane. Only the tie-breaking vote in a dead heat matters, and that almost never happens. Everyone else is wasting their time.
- “Have to Vote for the lesser of two evils” – The sheeple are really fucked up these days if they believe any choices they’re offered are any different. This democratic state we live in is a massive, megolithic, bureaucracy-run empire that cares little who is steering the ship at any given moment, because the captain has very little lattitude. Wars, commerce, police, personal behaviors – all these things are controlled by a permanent state apparatus.
- “If you don’t vote, you don’t have a right to complain” – George pretty much annihilated this absurdity with his classic observational technique…reductio ad absurdum!

But voting is very important in one respect – it is sacrement #1 in the state religion.
The permanent bureaucracy who runs the monster sees the benefit of the once-every-four-years log-rolling exercise called “election”, since it gives the illusion of citizen control over things. Be sure – there is no controlling the state with voting.
Therefore, its the positive duty of concerned people to NOT VOTE.
If you’re not quite there mentally yet, don’t worry. Just know that your doubts and “jaded” mindset are nothing to be ashamed of. They are in fact signs that the truth is eating its way back through the fat layer of lies that have been spread over your poor brain since you entered government school at age 6. Just seek out writings and essays online “against voting” and take your time. You’ll see reason eventually.
